Fish Kofta Curry

Fish Kofta Curry

Ingredients for Koftas:
1. 200 gms rohu/katla fish boiled in salt and turmeric water and deboned
2. 1 medium size onion thinly sliced
3. 4 chopped green chillies
4. Salt as per taste
5. 1 tsp ginger powder
6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
7. 1 tbsp coriander powder
8. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
9. 1 tbsp black pepper powder
10. 1 tbsp cumin powder
11. 1 tbsp garlic paste
12. 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
13. 1 egg
14. 2 tbsp corn flour
15. Chopped coriander leaves
16. Oil to fry

Method:
1. Add all the kofta ingredients together and mix well and roll out medium size kofta balls.
2. Heat a pan, add some oil, fry the kofta balls and keep them aside.

Gravy ingredients:
1. 1 medium size onion paste
2. 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3. 2 medium tomatoes boiled and made a paste
4. 5 tbsp mustard oil
5. 1 cinnamon stick
6. 3 cardamoms
7. 3 tbsp curd beaten and made smooth
8. 2 tbsp almond paste
9. Salt as per taste
10. 1 tsp turmeric powder
11. 1 tbsp cumin powder
12. 1 tbsp coriander powder
13. 2 tbsp chilli powder
14. 1 tbsp garam masala powder
15. 3-4 slit green chillies
16. Chopped coriander leaves
17. 1/2 cup hot water

Method:
1. Heat oil in pan, add onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry together for 2 mins.Add cinnamon stick, cardamoms, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder,chilli powder and fry together adding a splash of water.
2. Add tomato paste and salt and fry until it starts releasing oil.
3. Add almond paste, curd and cook again until it releases water. Keep stirring in intervals.
4. Add garam masala, green chillies and the fried koftas.
5. Stir gently, add hot water and coriander leaves and cover and cook for 5-6 mins.
6. Serve hot with rice.
